One organization, six local villages!
Local villages are branches of Marin Villages, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Through these local villages, we serve older adults living in different towns and unincorporated areas of Marin, tailoring activities and programs to the interests and needs of the older adults in specific geographic areas and enhancing the neighborhood connection between members and volunteers.
Volunteers are the heart of each local village. Each village has a volunteer steering team that welcomes new members, helps plan village activities, and also works with the administrative office staff of Marin Villages in San Rafael to make sure member's requests for services, which are assigned to volunteers by the central office, are being met.
The local villages are geographically based, but members are free to participate in the activities of any local village. Each local village has its own website, calendar, and newsletter, but most information on local village activities is available on the Marin Villages site as well.
