Mill Valley Village is a place to belong, to connect with old and new friends. A Very Special Event, Thursday, January 23rd at 1pm

Gabriella Mautner Introduces Her Newest Book,

"Victor Nameless"

Mill Valley Village is delighted to announce a very special event celebrating and introducing the newest book, Victor Nameless, by village member Gabriella Mautner. "A true story of love, hope against all odds, and redemption, set against the horror of the second World War, the Holocaust, and the drama of refugees. Victor, a young German-Jewish musician, falls in love with Tatyana, a beautiful Jewish photographer from Yugoslavia. Unable to stay together, they promise to carry a torch for each other."

Gabriella was born in Chemnitz, Germany and spent her childhood there. At the onset of the Nazi regime her family moved to Italy where she spent her early adolescence. When Italy became unsafe the family sought refuge in Holland. In 1942, disobeying a German command to report to a concentration camp, the family fled through the maze of Nazi-occupied Belgium and France, finally reaching safety in Switzerland.

We hope you will join us at Scout Hall on Thursday, January 23rd at 1pm. Gabriella will not only give us some insight into her background and how it informed her literary works, but will have books for sale and be available to sign them after her reading.  For more details please click here. We look forward to seeing you there.

Mill Valley Village Holiday Party

A splendid time had by all at this year's Holiday Party. This annual get-together of Mill Valley Village volunteers, members and friends was indeed the perfect time to catch up with old friends and meet newcomers. Nearly a hundred members, volunteers and friends shared food, libations, and good cheer with the sounds of the season in the background. What a lovely time it was. Another celebration brought to you by a full on team effort under the leadership of Cathy Dunlap, our truly amazing holiday party maven now for many years. Thank you Cathy! And thank you all for making it the enjoyable time it was. Happy Holidays.

Mill Valley Public Library and Mill Valley Village Present

"Elderhood: Louise Aronson"

Friday, October 25th, 7pm

We were delighted to see so many villagers at this latest offering from the partnership between Mill Valley Village and our amazing Mill Valley Library!  Dr. Louise Aronson, author of the New York Times bestseller "Elderhood: Redefining Aging, Transforming Medicine, Reimagining Life", and UCSF Professor of Medicine, in conversation with Dr. Dawn Gross (Host, Dying to Talk radio show) was a winning combination.

We thank you for attending and look forward to bringing you more quality programs in 2020.

A Celebration of Mill Valley Village Artists

September 22nd, 3 - 5pm

Mill Valley Golf Course Clubhouse

For those of you who were able to make it, it was a lovely, sociable afternoon celebrating and admiring these artists and their art. We were all just amazed at the variety and the quality of the work on display. There were paintings, ceramics, photography, sculpture, handwork, fabric art and more. Truly impressive.

As hoped, it was an easy-going afternoon with plenty of time to mingle and talk with artists about their work, while enjoying refreshments and each other's company. And adding a new dimension to our connections with our fellow villagers.

A big thank you to the amazing planning team of Ginna Fleming, Mary Hammond, Trish Hibben, Karen Robbins and Liz Stone.

And thank YOU for making it a very special afternoon!
