Our small book group will meet on Tuesday, July 8th at 2:00 pm to discuss The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. The Giver of Stars is historical fiction about the courageous women who delivered books on horseback to remote Appalachian families during the Depression Era. Based on the Horseback Librarian Program started by Eleanor Roosevelt in Kentucky, the novel delves into the developing friendships of the library women and the lives of villagers enriched by the books and advice they deliver.
