BOOK CHAT WILL NOT MEET IN JULY

Twin Cities Village BOOK CHAT is embarking on its third year, and with time, comes change!
As announced at the June 9th meeting, BOOK CHAT will not meet in July as we're reorganizing our meeting place and time. Our current meeting room is in a building slated to become offices for the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District. Please Stay tuned for news as to when and where our Book Chat meetings will resume.

In the meantime . . Here's our first reading recommendation!
The format of our Twin Cities Book Chat is for members to share about the various books they're currently reading or listening to on audio. Every once in a while a book recommendation achieves a special place within the group. Sipsworth, by Simon Van Booy, has been embraced and beloved by each member who has read it. On the surface, it's the story of Helen, an English widow living an isolated life. Everything changes when a mouse takes up residence in Helen's home. This tiny creature, duly named Sipsworth, assumes a profound place in Helen's daily routines and in her heart. 'Uplifting'and 'heartwarming' are words that rightly occur in many reviews of this novel. I found it utterly beguiling and surprising, as the tale moves forward and Helen's back story unfolds! Perhaps you, too, will be swept away by the delightful reading journey that Sipsworth promises.
