MOVIE:
“American Fiction” (1 h 57 m) Based on the 2001 novel “Erasure” by Percival Everett, it follows a frustrated novelist-professor who writes an outlandish satire of stereotypical "black" books, only for it to be mistaken by the liberal elite for serious literature and published to both high sales and critical praise. It’s funny, insightful and important without being self-important. Director Cord Jefferson's biting satire is fresh, factual, and funny. Nominated for many Academy Awards.
WHEN:
WHERE:
Parking and dropoff: If you’ll be driving yourself & have any mobility concerns about getting yourself from your car to the theater, give me a call to discuss. There is easier access to the theater from the 2-story back “Kohls” parking lot. Park on the lower floor in the corner nearest the old Sears building. There’s a glass door close to the main mall building that opens to a hallway that leads to the theater lobby. It’s a good drop off location, too. Call me if you need better instructions.
DINNER:
If you need a ride, please call the office (415) 457-4633 by Friday morning.
I hope to see you!
