All Marin Villages Members and Volunteers are invited to come learn about how Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) in San Rafael has been creating partnerships between people, dogs, and communities since 1942. 

Speaker and volunteer Beth Descala will share how GDB prepares highly qualified guide dogs to serve and empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired throughout the United States and Canada. We will learn how they are selected, trained and matched with their future owners. 

We will be planning a followup field trip event to the San Rafael facility in the coming months.
