About Mill Valley Village

Mill Valley Village is part of a growing national movement dedicated to helping us older adults maintain active, independent lifestyles in the place we call home.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

We are a volunteer-driven membership organization that couples old-fashioned neighborliness with modern know-how to provide important services and enhance quality of life.

We offer interesting programs and valuable benefits to our members and are active in the broader Mill Valley community.

Our parent organization, Marin Villages, maintains a small professional staff to coordinate key services, such as fielding phone calls and matching volunteers with member requests for Villages across Marin County.

What fascinates you? What expertise would you like to share? Explore our website to browse our activities and share your ideas for our Village.

Join us as a Member

Members join the village for many reasons. Some to support a great idea and make sure it is there when they and their neighbors need it. Some join to enjoy the camaraderie of new and old friends, to participate in the many programs the village offers to build connections in our community.

We offer lunches, trail walks and hikes, a memoir group, "Coffee at the Sweetwater", a men's group, knitting group and more. In addition, we offer other member benefits, including discounts from local merchants, lists of paid providers referred by other villagers and a wide range of one-on-one services provided by local volunteers.

How does it work? As a member, a simple phone call to our central office gives you access to a variety of programs and services.

Need someone to walk the dog, pick up groceries, or help with small chores around the house like changing smoke alarm batteries or light bulbs?  We have volunteers ready and waiting.  Or perhaps a ride to an appointment, one-on-one tech support, a friendly visit or someone to walk with?  We can help.

Just call the office (415-457-4633) and our staff will make arrangements with a local volunteer.  It's that easy.

Affordable annual memberships are $450 for individuals or $600 for households.

Monthly payment plans are available, as are discounted membership dues based on household income.
