April Coffee guest Madaleinne Peters from Soroptimist International of Novato enlightened us
about the history of Soroptimist International, founded in 1921. The local Novato club is a small
part of a huge organization involving thousands of women throughout the world. The name
Soroptimist means “best for women,” and is what the organization strives to achieve.
